What I believe

  •  I believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and that He created everything out of nothing for His own pleasure and purpose. I reject modalism (one God manifesting as three persons at different times) and tritheism (three separate Gods).
  • I believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, plenary, sufficient, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts, and the supreme and final authority in matters of faith and life, interpreted by the Holy Spirit to each individual believer.
  • I believe that mankind (male and female) was created in the image of God (Gen 1:27), and when Adam and Eve sinned the human race incurred both physical and spiritual death; thus mankind became alienated from God and incapable of remedying his sinful condition by his own means.
  • I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father through the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, and is true man without ceasing to be God. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless and perfect life that fully pleased His Father; that He died for our sins on the cross, bearing the judgment demanded by God's Holy Justice against sin, thus making it possible for God to remain Just and at the same time to justify those who believe in Jesus. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, never to die again, and is ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes as High Priest and Advocate on behalf of all who believe in Him.
  • I believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone in the finished substitutionary work of Jesus (Eph 2:8-9). Those who, by faith alone and through no merit of their own, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are miraculously born again of the Holy Spirit and become, as children of God, partakers of His divine nature and of eternal life.
  • I believe that at death the souls of the redeemed pass immediately into Christ's presence, to remain there until the resurrection of the body at Christ's return for the Church. I also believe that at death the souls of the lost go to Hell, where they remain until they are brought before Christ at the Great White Throne final judgment to be judged according to their works and cast into the Lake of Fire, there to remain eternally (Rev 20:12-14).
  • I believe the Holy Spirit is given to each believer as a seal of their redemption (Eph 4:30), is a comforter to the believer (John 16:7), convicts the world of sin (John 16:8) and empowers believers to witness (Acts 1:8).
  • I believe that every believer has a direct relationship to the Lord (the priesthood of the believer) and has immediate access to the throne of Grace and the ability to manifest the power of the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry.
  • I believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. I believe that this is an eternal covenant between God and the seed of Abraham to which God is faithful. I reject all replacement theology or teaching that the Church has "replaced" Israel.
  • I believe in the continued gifts and operation of the Holy Spirit as described in the book of Acts.  I reject any manifestations that glorify flesh or fall outside the bounds of Scripture.
  • I believe God heals in answer to believing prayer, faith, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the laying on of hands by the elders with the anointing of oil.
  • I believe in the pretribulational (1 Thess 4:16-17), premillennial (Rev 20) return of Jesus Christ to this physical earth where He will establish His throne in Jerusalem and reign for one thousand years.
